To believe how much I use to take life for granted, makes me feel so selfish. To believe, that I use to live in fear, blows my mind. How thankful I am, that the Lord gave me a home here in Costa Rica. He woke me up another morning with breakfast and coffee prepared for me made by his children, Julio and Maria that serve us so well. He gave me a community and church that I get to attend on Wednesdays and Sundays. Pastor Armando, who is also our host, Loves the lord with all his heart and it’s shown by his acts of service, making sure that we are cared for and taken care of 24/7. God also gave me such an awesome squad, a great team, and amazing team leader, and outstanding squad leaders. He’s provided me with a community that is here to serve his children, and Love like Jesus does.

On Thursday, we stayed the night at an Indigenous camp. It was such a beautiful reservation, and the scenery was so beautiful. (Pictures on my face book and Instagram!)

Friday morning, we were told that we were going to walk about 45 minutes to an Indigenous family’s house. As it should’ve been 45 minutes, for a family that walks it everyday, it took us about 2 hours. We hiked up hill, for what felt like hours. Fell down super muddy hills, and wanted to give up with in minutes. When we finally made it to the top, we were brought to a tiny house that had a roof and was held up by what looked like, bamboo sticks. Then inside of the house was practically just one big room, but divided up into 3 sections. One section was the living room, which only had two benches. The other section was the kitchen, and the third section was their bedroom, that ONLY had 2 beds. Why I exaggerate ‘only’ is because they are a family of 9. There are 7 children, all of them being very young. It was so beautiful to see how happy they were, barely anything in their home. To me, the most valuable thing they had, was their love for God, and one another.

Why I share this story, is because it really changed my perspective on life. How I’ve been so caught up on always trying to have so much stuff that I thought I needed. Trying to have the nicest clothes, the newest technology, always trying to go out. When it reality, all I need is Gods Love, and he will provide the rest for me. I am not defined by all my valuables, when I don’t value the most valuable thing I finally have and acknowledge. Which is LOVE.

How thankful I am, that HE, PROVIDES! In which ways does he provide for you?
